As a Vancouver-based venture, BackCure has conducted a market research in October 2021 to understand the Canadian Chiropractic market and explore the current practice of patients on receiving chiropractic treatment.

#1: Positive perceptions on Chiropractic


Among respondents who have visited a chiropractor, nearly 80% of them agree that chiropractic treatment is effective in different level in soothing chronic body pain. Canadian patients generally hold a positive attitude towards chiropractic.

#2: Most can't tell their actual needs


It is observed that many patients cannot determine the type and level of chiropractic treatment they need. They therefore turned to other specialists and neglect their actual need of seeking help from chiropractors.

#3: Lack of information


73.3% of respondents told us that they are not sure what is a good chiropractor. over 90% of respondents have inadequate information about chiropractor and making it difficult for them to judge what is a good chiropractor.

#4: Complicated background check


65.6% respondents have not taken action to verify the qualifications of chiropractors due to various reasons: 47.8% of them find the execution of background check is difficult, 30.4% find it unnecessary and 17.4% find it time-consuming. It shows that many patients, with or without the desire to verify, do not perform the background check because they find the process troublesome.
